ALL Metropolis of Denver Philoptochos commitment amounts are discretionary.
September
St. John Oratorical Festival Scholarship Fund
All monies are used to help provide scholarships to winners in each division ($1,000 to the 1st place, $500 to 2nd place and $250 to 3rd place), in addition to providing $1,000 to the 1st place winners for travel to the National Competition.
October
Youth Endowment Fund
Monies collected will be directed to the Metropolis Center for deposit in the Youth Endowment fund, which will be used to fund on continual basis programs such as Religious retreats, summer camps, basketball tournaments, and oratorical festivities around the Metropolis.

Mission
The purpose of this fund is to assist our mission parishes and smaller parishes, in any way that is needed. This fund also gives financial assistance to people from our Metropolis participating in mission trips sponsored by the Mission Center in Saint Augustine, Florida, and Prison Ministry.

Orthodox Fellowship
The mission of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship is to support fellowships on college campuses, whose member experiences and witness to the Orthodox Christian Church through community, life, prayer, service to others and study of the faith.

Youth Ministries
Financial contributions are collected and sent to the Metropolis Center to help offset the cost of youth programs, camps, retreats, and activities in order to keep registration cost affordable. These funds will not be used to pay administrative costs or for
director/ counselor expenses.

Woman's Monastery
The mission of the monastery is to provide housing to support women engaged on the spiritual pursuit of Orthodox monasticism; to sustain a framework in which the contemplative life and Orthodox spirituality is nurtured, to support liturgical services; to provide hospitality and philanthropic outreach.
